GENERAL INFO

  • When will you be open?

We are open on the weekends for take-out four packs, and will be open for in-person draft service on June 17th! Follow us on IG / FB / Twitter for details.

  • Will you offer food?

Yes. We will be offering snacks including Hammond's pretzels out of Lancaster, PA.

However, we aren't planning on offering an extensive food menu because there are so many really great restaurants located close by! Within just a few blocks on Penn Ave, our neighbor restaurants offer pizza, tacos, Korean, Indian, vegan, and BBQ. And you'll be more than welcome to bring in these delicious dishes! We will have a beer or other beverage to pair well with your meal. You could also come to us to get a beer to go in Pittsburgh, PA that pairs well with your takeout and that you can enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

OUR LOCATION

  • How can we get to the Brewery?

We love our location because of its accessibility to the neighborhood and city. We're truly a neighborhood brewery in Pittsburgh, PA.

The easiest way to get to Two Frays Brewery is to walk! There are also bike racks nearby and the 88 bus stops at the corner, just a quarter of a block away (stop ID 9178). By car, the safest way is via Uber or Lyft. All you have to do is type in Two Frays Brewery as your destination. There is also paid-parking on Penn Ave, but please be responsible with a designated driver.

  • Will the Brewery be dog friendly?

YES, as much as possible! We have our own four-legged mascots, Zeus and Iris (known as The Buddies), and would love to be known as the best brewery that's also dog friendly in Pittsburgh, PA. As long as the dogs are friendly, they are welcome to hang out in the outside area.

THE BEER

  • What makes Two Frays Beer different or better?

Ingredients and engineering are what make the brews at Two Frays Brewery the best beer in Pittsburgh, PA. Every recipe is designed from scratch using the best ingredients, including great water. We ferment with an Americanized-English house yeast for most of our beers, resulting in a longer fermentation time but more flavor and aroma and a smoother taste. And because we brew on a relatively small-batch system, you are guaranteed the beer will be fresh. And fun!

  • Why do you make such a big deal about water?

Brewed beverages (from beer to coffee to pop) start with water and we have a water recipe for every beer recipe. You read that right -- every batch of our beer starts with making water from filtered and reverse osmosis water, then adding minerals and salts depending on the beverage style. And because the brewer is a big nerd. Call it passion. But trust us - it makes all the difference in creating the beer Pittsburgh, PA loves.

  • I don’t drink beer. What else do you offer?

Our core business is beer and although over 40% of participants in a Gallup poll preferred to drink beer, making it the most popular alcoholic beverage, we know that beer isn't for everyone. Ultimately, we want everyone to be comfortable and satisfied while enjoying a drink in our brewery or in our section for outside seating in Pittsburgh, PA.

Our most basic non-beer offering will be a non-alcoholic fruity seltzer water. We will also offer a hard seltzer, hard cider (made by one of the cider makers in town), and a non-alcoholic root beer or ginger beer. In the future, we plan to incorporate wine and/or liquor made in Pennsylvania, but on a small scale. We have some other ideas in mind as well, but let us know what you'd like to see offered!

  • I want to learn more about beer. How can Two Frays help?

Start by asking! We love to talk about the technical and emotional aspects of beer. Learning (like so many things) starts with a conversation. From there the next steps are endless: YouTube videos, books, and online forums are just a start. We would love to create a local homebrew club and we are working on offering fun and informative brewery tours in Pittsburgh, PA. But it all depends on what you want! Send us a message with your questions or ideas.
