In summer 2024, she founded Knit Pit, a modern crafting community that has grown from a small neighborhood group to a meetup drawing makers from across the city.⁠ ⁠ @knitpityarnclub hosts gatherings at breweries instead of yarn shops, creating a welcoming space for people to learn, share skills, and connect over making things with their hands. Kate has been knitting for over 10 years and loves helping people build confidence, fix mistakes, and tackle projects they didn’t think they could do.⁠ ⁠ Join us Wednesday, Dec. 17th at 7pm as she shares the story behind Knit Pit and how crafting can bring people together.
